Rates per Caregiver Shift:

Other services offered by Connect2Care:
R560 if Connect2Care quote is not accepted, otherwise this fee is waived. The in-person consultation will be held by one of our Connect2Care consultants, and will include invaluable advice, such as a home and equipment assessment, doctor, nurse and rehab referrals if necessary.
Companion Care:
Companion carers are able to assist with being a friend to the client, as well as overseeing the household and help organizing general repairs, booking of various appointments and helping with other administration. Companion carers have their own transport, so they’re able to assist with driving the client to outings, daily activities, doctors, and other medical visits as necessary.
R230 per hour, Km charged at AA Rates.
Shopping:
Companion carers are able to do shopping for housebound or unwell clients.
R 230 per shopping trip. Km charged at AA rates.
Registered Nurses:
Connect2Care registered nurses do home care assessments, create care plans and onboard caregivers. Our RNs also are available for follow-up visits as well as any nursing procedures required.
Formal follow-up or other Registered Nurse Visits for general health checks, wound care, catheter care, assessing basic vital signs, administering medication, and oxygen therapy. R600
Nursing Assessment:
R600, includes a visit and examination by a Connect2Care Registered Nurse, and a full assessment of care requirements
Petrol charged at AA rates
Personalised Nursing Care Plan:
Free of charge for bookings over 30 days.
R600 if care is less than 30 days
Diet Plan:
R600, a diet plan based on client preferences/ requirements is drawn up, together with the relevant shopping list. Note that this is based on client preferences, not a formal or specific diet plan drawn up by a dietitian, for that we would refer the client to a dietitian.
General Information on Rates:
- All our rates are inclusive of VAT and admin fees.
- We require monthly upfront payment on all care packages
- Day Shift / Night Shift: Two caregivers swap in between day & night
- Live-In: Caregiver stays for up to 7 days and is then relieved for 7 days by the second caregiver.
- Interview requests are charged at the minimum reservation fee of R600 and are credited to the client in case of a subsequent reservation.
- Ad hoc client visits are done by Registered Nurses or Connect2Care consultants for all long term clients to check on client well-being and caregivers. These are free of charge.
